The supporting bone
and tissue of teeth must be maintained in a healthy state in order to
provide a solid foundation for modern restorative techniques.
Periodontal disease can cause loss of supporting bone and tissue and
eventual loss of teeth if it progresses to an advanced stage. Our goal
is to maintain the health of the gum tissue (or gingiva) in a healthy
state in order to provide optimal tissue health. If periodontal
disease is left untreated, it can be a major cause of tooth loss. We
provide screenings for periodontal disease, root planning treatment as
well a regular maintenance procedures.
